ETERNET-APRの主旨

アジア太平洋地域環境技術研究ネットワーク（ETERNET-APR）の目的は、情報及び研究者の交換を通じて環境技術に関する国際研究協力を推進し、アジア太平洋地域における産業活動の環境へのインパクトを最小にすることにある。このネットワークは次に示す分野の研究開発に従事する当該地域の研究機関により構成されている：

１）環境評価技術（大気、水と海洋、ソースインベントリー）、

２）排出抑制などの対策技術（大気、水と海洋、エネルギー利用技術、廃棄物、クリーナープロダクション）、

３）測定技術（大気、水と海洋、廃棄物など）。

開催主旨

　つくばでの第1回、第2回シンポジウム開催に続き、第３回はタイ、バンコクのチュラロンコン大学環境研究所、第４回シンポジウムはインドネシア、バンドン工科大学との共同で開催された。これらのシンポジウムを通じてネットワークを構成する各国研究機関の研究者および研究プロジェクトのデータが収集され、データベースとしてETERNET-APRホームページが開設され、活発な情報交換が行われている。第５回国際シンポジウムでは、「環境技術の開発と国際研究協力」をメインテーマとし、大気、水、海洋などの汚染や廃棄物問題などに対応し、地域環境から広域・地球規模環境の保全に寄与する環境技術の開発とそのために求められている国際研究協力テーマを見出すことを目的として開催された。第６回国際ワークショップでは、第５回国際シンポジウムの成果をもとに、実行可能な国際研究協力のテーマを提案することを目的として開催された。

　今回開催の第７回国際ワークショップでは、第６回国際ワークショップに引き続き、実行可能な国際研究協力のテーマを提案することを目的とする。

参加者の募集

　プログラムに示すように、ワークショップでの講演および討論は、環境技術研究総合推進会議の会員（工業技術院国立研究所研究者）など日本側研究者とアジア太平洋地域各国の国立研究機関、大学から招聘される環境技術研究者を中心に行なわれます。

　アジア太平洋地域の環境問題に対応するために必要な環境技術とその研究開発に必要な国際研究協力をご理解していただくよい機会と思いますので、環境技術の開発や移転・普及に関心のある方々の積極的なご参加をお願いする次第です（参加費無料）。参加希望の方は、当日会場にて直接お申し込み下さい。
