| Technical Information Services |
| NIRE provides the following technology services on matters related to NIRE's research activities to other research organizations and private industry: |
| Technical Consultation |
| NIRE accepts requests for technical consultation on matters related to NIRE's research activities by means of telephone conversations, interviews or letters. |
| Technical Transfer |
| Transfer of the results of our research activities to outside organizations by various means, including technical training, can be arranged by contract on the basis of mutual consultation. |
| Technical Training |
| NIRE accepts trainees from outside organizations by contract based on mutual consultation. NIRE also offers group and individual training courses to developing countries under the auspices of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). |
| Observation Tours |
| Observation tours in NIRE are welcomed unless they impede our research activities. Visitors are requested to contact and write applications at least a month in advance, which contain object of observation, date and time, number of visitors, and so on. |

| Testing Service |
| In compliance with the "Regulations on Requested Tests and Analysisand Utilization of Equipment of the Agency of Industrial Science and Technology," NIRE conducts requested tests, analysis and other services unless they impede our research activities. |
| Inspection |
| NIRE inspects underground articles used in mines and calorimeters in compliance with the related regulations. |
